Integration - JT-only Memory Model
For many JT-enabled applications, JT files will be used to transfer all the required data from upstream applications. In this situation, all or part of the JT data structure is read into memory as the internal data representation. All the primary algorithms call the JT Open Toolkit directly. The data is then processed in some way and written out as another JT file - perhaps for transfer to downstream JT-enabled applications. A typical example is a view and markup application which receives designs from a CAD system as JT files. Comments are added to the JT file which is then returned to the designer and read by the CAD system.
