Membership
JT Open membership is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all organisations involved in manufacturing industry worldwide. Organisations can become involved in several ways:
-
Vendor Members are for-profit software development organisations that wish to JT-enable their existing and future products using the JT Open Toolkit to minimize effort and to guarantee 100% data compatibility. Vendor Members pay joining and annual fees based on their size. Importantly, they do not pay per-seat fees for JT-enabled applications sold to other program members.
-
Corporate Members are end-user manufacturing companies who wish to purchase JT-enabled applications from a wide variety of Vendor Members in order to mix-and-match to maximise process efficiency - both internally and within their supply chain. Corporate Members pay joining fee and annual fees based on their size. These fees are set so they can be quickly offset by the absence of per-seat fees that would be passed on by Vendor Members.
-
Academic Members are educational institutions that want to purchase JT-enabled applications from a wide variety of Vendor Members for teaching purposes and for use in research alongside the JT Open Toolkit, often in partnership with Corporate Members. Academic Membership fees are set to attract wide adoption in the academic community.
-
Interest Groups are not-for-profit organisations that represent the interests of particular sections of manufacturing industry; globally, regionally or nationally. Their support and input are invaluable to the program especially in promoting best practice use of JT technology and in advising on future needs that may be addressed by JT technology.
-
Advocates are for-profit organisations that don't wish to join as members but who wish to express public support and enthusiasm for the JT Open program and its benefits.
